About The Position

Summit Home Care & Hospice is expanding its services with a new caregiving division and is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHA)/CNA/STNA. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with daily living activities and personal care needs. You will work under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and be a trusted presence in the lives of those you serve. This position is PRN/As Needed with the potential to move to Part or Full-Time. Travel is required for In-Home Visits.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have an HHA Certification, Ohio CNA Certificate or a valid Ohio STNA License.
Must have current CPR and First-Aid certifications.
Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.
Meet training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws for home health aides.
Able to read, follow care plans, and document services provided.
Self-directed, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward individuals with varying needs.
Maintains good hygiene and a professional appearance.
Physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and assist with patient mobility.
Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform care tasks.

Responsibilities

Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Helping with oral hygiene and hair care.
Supporting mobility and exercise routines.
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed.
Light housekeeping, including changing bed linens, laundry, and tidying living spaces.
Providing medication reminders.
Monitoring and recording vital signs (with proper training).
Observing and reporting changes in patient condition.
Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Following care plans and documentation procedures.
Being a kind, respectful, and reliable presence in the home.
