About The Position

Right at Home is seeking caregivers to assist seniors and disabled adults with activities of daily living in their homes or care facilities in Hudsonville, MI. The company emphasizes providing support during challenging times and equipping caregivers with PPE. They are looking for individuals who are honest, energetic, approachable, and take pride in their work, able to cope under pressure and thrive on a challenge. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess current automobile insurance
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
  • Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
  • Must have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
  • 6 months - 1 year experience as a Caregiver in health care (in homes or facilities)

Nice To Haves

  • Current CPR Certificate is recommended
  • Preferably able and willing to work on Weekends, especially 8am-8pm
  • Interested and available for two or more shifts/week

Responsibilities

  • Assist seniors and disabled adults with activities of daily living, in their homes or care facilities
  • Provide assistance with eating
  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene
  • Provide assistance with dressing
  • Provide assistance with shaving
  • Perform light housekeeping
  • Perform laundry
  • Perform other household chores
  • Prepare meals
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Provide dementia care
  • Engage in companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles
