About The Position

Affirmed Home Care is hiring experienced Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) for immediate per diem assignments in Port Jefferson Station and throughout Suffolk County. We are seeking dependable, compassionate HHAs looking for flexible scheduling, local assignments, weekly pay, and a supportive home care team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organization that values its caregivers. We are seeking experienced HHAs who take pride in providing quality, one-on-one care and helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Requirements

Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required
At least 1 year of professional HHA experience
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical examination completed within the past 12 months
PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past year, or a chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years
MMR immunization documentation within the last 10 years

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license preferred
Reliable transportation strongly preferred
Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Providing personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
Assisting with mobility and transfers as appropriate
Providing medication reminders as directed
Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
Providing companionship and emotional support
Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life
