About The Position

Haven Home Care is seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care for mostly older adults in Stark and Summit Counties, Ohio. Responsibilities include assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. This role involves physical work, assisting clients with mobility. HHAs do not administer medication or perform medical tasks, as those are reserved for nurses. The company offers free training for individuals new to caregiving and provides opportunities for pay increases based on performance and tenure. Clients are primarily matched based on the aide's preferred travel distance and availability, with opportunities for more hours for those open to both counties.

Requirements

• STNA license (active or expired)
• HHA Certificate holders (30+ hours)
• 1+ year of experience working under an RN or LPN at a skilled facility or home health agency
• Driver's license
• Own car with insurance that covers work driving
• Pass background checks
• Work at least 20 hours/week
• Available between 6 AM - 8 PM (most work is 8 AM - 5 PM)
• Legal right to work in the US
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, getting dressed, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping and errands.
• Provide companionship to clients.
• Assist clients with moving around and standing.
• Follow company policies and client care plans.
• Report incidents within 24 hours.
• Maintain communication with the office, including answering calls and texts promptly.
• Complete feedback forms and submit updated documents when requested.
