About The Position
Affirmed Home Care is seeking compassionate, experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide exceptional one-on-one care to clients throughout Huntington and surrounding Suffolk County communities. We offer flexible scheduling options designed to fit your availability and lifestyle, including weekday live-in assignments, weekend-only opportunities, or longer-term cases. We also encourage referring fellow HHAs to coordinate live-in cases together.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Home Health Aide experience
- A valid New York State HHA Certificate
- Authorization to work in the United States
- A current physical examination within the past year
- PPD or QuantiFERON test within the past year, or a chest X-ray within the past 5 years
- MMR immunization records within the past 10 years
Nice To Haves
- A valid driver’s license is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks
- Prepare and plan meals
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help clients maintain a safe, comfortable home environment
