About The Position

This position is accountable for providing personal care and designated health related services designed to maintain the client’s physical and emotional well being in compliance with the Agency’s policies, procedures and standards for the Home Health Aide. The HHA is responsible to report to the supervising nurse.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Current MN CNA certificate required.
• Must have current MN driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with client, family and home care staff members.
• Ability to demonstrate efficiency, motivation and competency in skills assigned.
• Reliable transportation to client’s home as assigned.
• A valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Punctual, attendance satisfactory and provides proper notice of absence or tardiness.
• Ability to handle conflict in diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing situations and to client schedules on a daily basis.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload in time allotted.
• Willing to work with others and cooperate fully for the good of all.
• Must maintain a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred acute/nursing home care/home care experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and designated health related services designed to maintain the client’s physical and emotional well being.
• Complying with the Agency’s policies, procedures and standards for the Home Health Aide.
• Reporting to the supervising nurse.
• Attending mandatory in-services, competencies and education as required by statutes.
• Following safety rules/regulations of the agency, reporting injuries and accidents to managerial staff.
