About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring an in-home caregiver to support clients in the Dassel area. The role helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Part-time and full-time hours are available depending on availability. Wages begin at $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. Employees become eligible after five months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Requirements

Experience in a caregiving role.
Availability every other weekend and holiday.
Must be 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Own reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and three years of driving experience.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must be comfortable driving.
Clearance through DHS and driving record background checks.
Customer service excellence and professional boundaries are required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living.
Provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens; dusting; mopping; changing linens; vacuuming; laundry; and taking out garbage.
Plan and prepare meals, including cooking and baking.
Provide conversation and companionship.
Provide interactive caregiving.
Assist with mobility, which may include using transfer tools or equipment.
Assist with medication.
Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
Provide proper electronic documentation of shifts and care provided.
