About The Position
HCR is offering a 3-week Paid HHA Certification course, approved by the NYS Dept of Health, beginning June 2nd, 2026. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a recognized HHA Certificate and be eligible to work for HCR, providing home care to patients in Monroe, Genesee, and Orleans Counties. This program allows individuals to earn while they learn and begin a career in home health care.
Requirements
- Successful completion of HCR's Reading and Math Test
- Reliable transportation
- Driver's License
- Provide a copy of immunization records/MMRs (After offer acceptance)
- Submission to CHRC background check, fingerprinting, drug test, physical exam and Tuberculin Testing (After offer acceptance)
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide health related services as outlined in the plan of care authorized by a physician and established by a registered nurse or licensed therapist under the direction of the Aide Matrix established by the NYS Department of Health.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, housekeeping and/or other related supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in his/her home.
- Immediately report changes in client’s condition to supervising professional.
- Ensure the safety of the patient, patient’s family and/or the employee.
- Maintain HIPAA.
