About The Position

Abernathy Home Care is actively hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) for immediate openings throughout the area. If you're a certified caregiver looking for flexible scheduling, consistent hours, local clients, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, we'd love to hear from you. We are building schedules now and can often get qualified caregivers working quickly. As a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA), you will provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and adults who need assistance remaining independent in their own homes.

Requirements

• Active Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification OR Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel between clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable attendance and professional attitude
• Current TB test or chest x-ray

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), companion, or direct care worker
• Experience working with seniors, elderly clients, or individuals with disabilities

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Performing light housekeeping and homemaking duties
• Monitoring client safety and well-being
• Following individualized care plans
• Documenting services provided
• Traveling between client homes during scheduled shifts
