About The Position

NurseCore is seeking compassionate and dependable CNAs and HHAs to provide one-on-one, in-home care for clients with a variety of care needs. We offer opportunities with pediatric and geriatric clients based on caregiver experience, skills, availability, and client needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and experienced in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and other individualized care needs while promoting each client’s safety, comfort, dignity, and independence in the home.

Requirements

• Current Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate
• Current CPR certification
• Current HIV/AIDS training/certificate
• Current Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) training/certificate, as applicable
• Successful completion of required Relias competency and skills assessments
• Valid AHCA Level 2 Background Screening or ability to obtain
• Negative TB screening
• Ability to assist with personal care, transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently in the client’s home
• Reliable transportation
• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year of caregiving experience preferred
• Private duty and/or home care experience preferred
• Experience providing care to geriatric clients preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one personal care and support in the client's home
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, ambulation, and mobility
• Provide fall-prevention and safety assistance
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Provide medication reminders within the HHA/CNA scope of practice
• Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the appropriate NurseCore staff
• Accurately document care and services provided during each shift
• Follow the client's established plan of care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the client
