Requirements

Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health
Maintain a current CPR certification
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order

Nice To Haves

Home Health experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide personal care including: Baths, Back rubs, Oral hygiene, Shampoos, Change bed linen, Assist patients with dressing and undressing, Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown, Assist the patient with toileting activities, Keep patient’s living area clean and orderly
Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
Assist in feeding the patient
Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.
Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care.
Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered.
Assist patient in the self-administration of medication.
Do patient’s laundry
Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
Report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse
