Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Chimayo, NM. This role involves providing assistance with daily living and personal care services in patients' homes, following a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient's residence. The scheduling needs will be established between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager. The position requires approximately 40 hours a week, with visits needed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, preferably starting in the early to mid-morning. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work on an as-needed basis
- CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting.
- Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care.
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care.
- Remind patient of to take medication as prescribed.
- Maintain records and documentation of services.
- Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
