Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Weekends
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Amarillo, TX area. This role involves providing assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients' homes, following a physician-established care plan. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient's residence. Scheduling needs will be established between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager. The position requires 36 hours a week, with shifts available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test
- Prefer experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Responsibilities
- Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record.
- Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies.
- Performs patient assessments, coordination of care.
- Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home.
- Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one.
- Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients.
- Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.
