About The Position

The Home Health Account Executive coordinates and performs marketing duties to communicate the role of the Agency to the community, including physicians, physician groups, community associations, senior groups, ethnic clubs, and churches. This role involves completing clerical tasks, ensuring referral intake forms are completed for each patient/client, and mentoring branch directors and employees on best practices for communicating the organization's mission to clients and potential clients.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. Preferred.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Skills in typing and organizational abilities.
  • Able to work independently, demonstrating good judgment.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Practices good customer service skills in all working relationships.
  • Desire and ability to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, respectful, and courteous nature.
  • Absence of criminal background.
  • Presents self professionally and positively represents the agency.
  • Language, demeanor and all interactions are professional.
  • Is professional in appearance - clothing, grooming (hair, nails), etc.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably has medical background, staffing, and home health care experience.
  • Knowledge of common medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and performs duties of marketing and communicating the role of the Agency to the community.
  • Completes various clerical tasks and ensures to complete a referral intake form for each patient/client referred to the nurse registry.
  • Takes the lead in mentoring branch directors and branch employees in best practices for communication of the mission of the organization to clients and potential clients.
  • Answers questions to referring sources and potential clients regarding the home health agency scope of services.
  • Follows up on each referral to ensure proper coordination of home health care services.
  • Completes a referral form accurately with client’s history and provides the home health agency an initial Physician orders.
  • Attends appropriate management/office meetings.
  • Provides supervisor with a weekly schedule of marketing tasks.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all office/field staff.
  • Communicates potential risk management issues and reports abuse or unsafe - illegal practice as required by law.
  • Participates in the marketing efforts of the office as assigned.
  • Participates in community relations' activities as directed by the Agency Management.
  • Promotes the agency through positive representation and communication of its services.
  • Communicates effectively with all team members.
  • Retains positive, open communication with the agency management.
  • Works as a positive, effective team member.
  • Recommends new policies and/or changes in current policies to improve quality of patient services as well as efficiency and effectiveness of services.
  • Follows all infection control and OSHA standards and all state and federal regulations.
  • Is punctual and reports to work as scheduled.
  • Is flexible and works cooperatively for agency needs.
  • Understands the concept of continuous quality improvement.
  • Applies the concepts of quality improvement to all work practices.
  • Is knowledgeable of the agencies QI goals and participates as directed.
