About The Position

Vermont Federal Credit Union is recruiting for a Home Equity Loan Officer out of our South Burlington location. This role involves understanding member needs and matching them with appropriate loan programs, analyzing members' financial positions, recommending loan decisions to underwriting, and ensuring compliance with loan terms. The position also requires establishing loan terms and conditions and delivering outstanding service aligned with the Credit Union's Core Values.

Requirements

3-5 years of similar or related experience.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.

Responsibilities

Understand member needs and match the appropriate loan program that will best serve the member.
Analyze the current financial position of members and present them with additional cross-serve opportunities to benefit their financial position.
Recommend loan decisions to underwriting by determining the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections when appropriate.
Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the member.
Delivering outstanding service that is in alignment with the Credit Union’s Core Values.
