Home & Community Assistant - QCSS (Female). Permanent Part Time - Sunshine Coast
About The Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Life Without Barriers team and support people with disability to have the choice, control, and independence to live their best life. You will provide personalised support to our QCSS (Queensland Community Support Scheme) clients within their homes on the Sunshine Coast. You will provide supports to people with a disability, illness or mental health condition to maintain their independence and achieve their goals. This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with working hours available between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, no evening or sleepover shifts. You will be required to travel to support multiple clients each day from Landsborough to Mountain Creek and out to Nambour, so a willingness to travel is essential to this role. Requirements
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
- National Criminal History Record Check
- QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Aged Care Statutory Declaration

Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
