About The Position

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our HOME Choice Team to assist with managing and administering general provisions of the Ohio Medicaid Program. This unit is responsible for administering the Money Follows the Person federal grant to assist eligible Ohioans in transitioning from long-term care facilities to community living. This position is overtime exempt and requires occasional travel, for which the employee must provide their own transportation or possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle.

Requirements

  • Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 12 mos. exp. in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).
  • OR 12 months experience has Medicaid Health Systems Specialist, 65293.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight and guidance for operations within Ohio’s HOME Choice Program.
  • Managing statewide operations, policies, procedures, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinating with families, providers, case managers, and state agencies to support participants.
  • Developing and interpreting program policy; responding to public and provider inquiries.
  • Monitoring participant progress and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Preparing reports and contributing to legislative and policy recommendations.
  • Representing the program in hearings, workgroups, and interagency meetings.
