Many of our clients have trouble completing daily living activities on their own, or simply require some additional companionship. This position may require travel to Brookfield, CT and surrounding communities, such as Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Sandy Hook, Redding, Ridgefield, Bantam, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cornwall, Gaylordsville, Goshen, Kent, Litchfield, New Hartford, New Milford, New Preston, Roxbury, Sharon, Thomaston, Torrington, Warren, Washington, Watertown, Woodbury, Southbury, and Waterbury.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 12 months of caregiving experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have reliable or personal transportation
- Must Be Able to Speak and Read English
Nice To Haves
- Dementia Experience Preferred
- Certified Nurse's Aide / HHA preferred
- Ability to work in a facility environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes
- Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing and dressing
- Help with household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments
- Perform grocery shopping, meal preparation tasks, and light housekeeping
- Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders throughout the day
