About The Position

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is hiring caregivers who have caregiving experience and enjoy helping seniors live safely and comfortably at home. They have day, evening, weekend, overnight, and fill-in opportunities available throughout Southern Maryland. They will consider your availability, experience, skills, and location when matching you with clients.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Basic Health Screening and Negative TB test
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and onboarding

Nice To Haves

• Experience with dementia, Parkinson's disease, mobility assistance, transfers, personal care, or other specialized care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Help with walking, mobility, and transfers
• Prepare meals
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping
• Assist with errands or transportation when applicable
• Support clients with their daily routines
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition
• Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home
