About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide personalized care and support to clients in Newport, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities to promote their independence and well-being in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or similar caregiving role highly desirable
- Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care to clients of all backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes in Newport, MI
- Ability to pass background checks
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Help with light housekeeping duties including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning
- Administer prescribed medications as directed and monitor clients’ health conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
