About The Position
The Palliative Care RN is responsible for patients and families in the palliative care program. Provides Palliative care clinical consultation. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
- CPR certification
- Two years acute background
- Home care experience
- strong clinical knowledge base
- Hospice experience
- computer skills
- strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Palliative Care experience
- demonstrate ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
- Must be able to work independently and on a team
- Ability to perform diversified duties with time limitations
- Ability to develop, coordinate and evaluate programs in Palliative care and end-of-life care
Nice To Haves
- Hospice/Palliative Care certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with manager in the development of performance measurements for the Palliative Care Program to ensure continuous quality improvement; ensures implementation
- Motivates/supports employees for exemplary performance on internal and external customer service, productivity, and accuracy
- Provides statistical/budgetary data to appropriate Palliative care program
- Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure execution of quality delivery of services
