About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide compassionate, dependable in-home support that helps clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes. Caregivers build connections with clients and provide personalized, patient-centered care to enhance quality of life. An RN Supervisor supports caregivers in the field, and the company provides training, resources, and client matching. The service area includes Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience are considered.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Show dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
