About The Position

As a Home Care Assistant, you'll build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, one-on-one care in clients' homes. Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation with active auto insurance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
- Organized with strong time management skills
- An effective communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Able to work independently while collaborating with the care team
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care or caregiving experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Traveling to clients' homes throughout the Messiah Lifeways service area
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, including the use of mechanical lifts when properly trained
- Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Identifying and reporting safety concerns within the home
- Completing client documentation and visit notes at the end of each shift
- Participating in care team meetings as needed
- Providing compassionate companionship while promoting each client's dignity, independence, and well-being
