Home Care Aide in Granbury
About The Position
We’re looking for a dependable, compassionate Home Care Aide who genuinely enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing excellent care. As a Home Care Aide, you’ll provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible. This role is a great fit for someone who is reliable, patient, attentive, and comfortable building meaningful relationships with the people they care for. Previous professional caregiving experience is preferred, and we are especially interested in applicants who understand the importance of communication, dependability, and following an individualized care plan.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Dependable attendance and reliable communication
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and personal care
- Professional, compassionate, and respectful demeanor
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of professional caregiving experience preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Reliable and committed to showing up for their clients, confident working independently in a home setting, comfortable providing hands-on personal care, and passionate about making a positive difference in someone’s day.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Help with transfers to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and vehicles
- Provide companionship and meaningful interaction
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes
- Encourage clients to participate in appropriate activities and exercises
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition, behavior, or needs
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Follow the client’s care plan and communicate concerns with the care team
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment in the client’s home
