About The Position

At Riverwood Center we have a team of caring and committed professionals providing a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health. Riverwood Center has been serving members of our community since 1975. We provide a wide array of services to children, families and individuals with mental illness, intellectual & developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center conducts business as a division of Berrien Mental Health Authority and we have staff located at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in an appropriate mental health discipline.
  • One to two years’ experience providing treatment to children/adolescents with serious mental illness
  • Excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously and work independently
  • Must have reliable means of transportation for home visits and maintain safe driving record
  • Licensed by the Michigan Department of Michigan Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, (Bureau of Professional Licensing) as a LLMSW, LMSW, Limited Licensed Psychologist and/or LLPC, LPC.
  • Must become fully licensed within 30 months of date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides services to children/adolescents with severe emotional disturbances and their families.
  • Prepares comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, brief assessments, treatment plans, case management/intensive care coordination, crisis intervention and pre- screens as needed.
