About The Position
HMT Tank is looking for a Hole Watch/Fire Watch to perform or assist in general site work. The Hole Watch/Fire Watch must be able to perform required duties in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to travel to the East Coast.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Responsibilities
- Perform or assist in general site work.
- Communicate effectively with Foreman and crew.
- Meet minimum PPE requirements including proper eye protection, hard hat, steel toe safety boots, FR clothing, hearing protection and gloves when required, and any other PPE required by the situation.
- Learn and show competency with operation of air monitoring equipment.
- Maintain operational paperwork for the position, including Air Monitor Bump Test Log, Confined Space Entry Log, and Fire Extinguisher Inspection Log.
- Assist Foreman with daily safety paperwork, including JSA and Safe Work Checklist.
- Take notes during tailgate meetings.
- Work in extreme weather situations, including heat and cold.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Climb ladders and stairs.
- Sweep, lift materials, and organize welding leads, cords, and hoses.
- Spot for mobile equipment as needed.
