About The Position
M3 Staffing is seeking a Hoist Operator / Section 5 Operator for a position in the Lower Mainland, BC, Canada. This role involves operating hoisting equipment safely on construction sites, managing loads, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Requirements
- Valid Hoist Operator certification.
- Understanding of BC's Section 5 safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and climb as needed (Minimum, 25 lbs).
- Works well with others.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in hoist operation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate hoisting equipment safely, such as cranes and passenger/material hoists.
- Move materials, equipment, and people within the construction site safely.
- Follow safety rules, including those in Section 5 of BC's Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
- Perform basic equipment checks.
- Work closely with the construction team and follow safety protocols.
- Keep records of equipment checks, maintenance, and incidents as needed.
