About The Position
SMT is seeking a Hockey Game Monitor for the 2026/27 NHL season. This part-time role requires an exceptional attention span to monitor game feeds, follow game events, and communicate effectively with team members and NHL personnel. The position is based in SMT's Jacksonville, FL office and requires working during NHL game times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Knowledge and passion for hockey gameplay, rules, and statistics.
- Experience and understanding of Windows-based applications.
- Basic database, spreadsheet, word processing, and standard application knowledge.
- Ability to effectively view numerous monitors and games simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Must be able to work regularly on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Report to the hub an hour before puck drop for assigned games.
- Collaborate with league operations and technical staff to ensure accurate presentation of hockey data.
- Review and monitor designated websites, league databases, and live game feeds for the NHL.
- Monitor multiple live NHL game feeds and related statistics to ensure accurate representation of game scores and game information.
- Relay and summarize game activities to other SMT and hockey personnel.
- Timely report any issues to NHL leads and technicians.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative environment among fellow game monitors and SMT personnel.
