About The Position

The HME Intake Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing Home Medical Equipment related requests from the medical community as well as customers. Responsibilities include: Performing insurance verification, obtaining prior authorization, processing insurance changes, and verifying insurance reimbursement requirements are met while maintaining a professional image; reflecting the values of Munson Healthcare.

Requirements

High School or GED
3 years related office or durable medical equipment experience required, preferably in the health care field.
Valid Michigan Driver's License
Possesses current Michigan motor vehicle license and an insured vehicle that can be used to complete required errands in various weather conditions.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
