Requirements

Ability to work independently, displaying a keen eye for attention to detail, and providing an accurate status of progress, issues, and risks on all work.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience in a medical (billing preferably) and or revenue cycle environment.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of EMR documentation systems preferred.
Business or healthcare-related field (preferred field of study).

Responsibilities

Consistently maintain established production goals while meeting or exceeding defined quality standards throughout the PreCoding process.
Identify and trend results and processes to develop and maintain a standardized PreCoding workflow and cadence.
Participate in system testing as needed to support system, application upgrades, and all processes and procedures.
Document verification using approved notation standards within the charge entry application and Hospital EMR.
Promote a team environment demonstrating our core values to achieve all departmental goals and supporting individual professional development.
Actively participate in meetings and educational programs to improve both individual and team quality.
Comply with HIPAA requirements in relation to all chart activities.
