About The Position

The role of the Hot Mill Furnace Equipment Technician includes ensuring a safe work environment, producing high-quality product through proper Tunnel Furnace maintenance and operation, and managing, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the Tunnel Furnace Equipment. Candidates must be willing to work a "Day" schedule Monday through Friday with flexibility to cover night/weekend shifts as needed. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a production role with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of and experience with the combustion systems, refractory, bearings & lubrication systems, and rolling processes.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with vendors, manage inventory of consumable items, and track/manage area cost.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
