About The Position

This position supports a new Defense Health Agency program and involves keeping legacy HL7 v2 interfaces of a health data exchange platform running while they are migrated to FHIR R4. The role includes owning interface control documents, running the interface engine, and resolving message-level problems. The position is contingent upon contract award, with a start date following award and Government access.

Requirements

• 5 or more years operating HL7 v2 interfaces in a production healthcare environment
• Experience with an interface engine in production (Rhapsody, Mirth or an equivalent)
• Experience writing or maintaining interface control documents
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the Tier 3 investigation and IT-II designation

Nice To Haves

• An active Secret clearance or Secret eligibility
• FHIR R4 exposure
• DoD or VA health IT experience
• 24x7 operations or on-call experience

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HL7 v2.4 interfaces, including Z-segments, over MLLP and HTTP-wrapped transports
• Baseline and maintain interface control documents for every connected partner
• Triage message failures, acknowledgment problems and partner-side changes, and run them to closure
• Support shadow comparison and cutover testing as each interface moves to FHIR
• Hold privileged production access under the program's security rules
