About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Histotechnologist to join our Histology Lab for a 13-week assignment. This role involves processing surgical pathology specimens, preparing high-quality histology slides, and supporting various laboratory workflows. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent histology experience and relevant certification.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience
- ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Certification (Required)
- Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences
Responsibilities
- Process surgical pathology specimens
- Accession specimens into Cerner
- Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists
- Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens
- Prepare high-quality histology slides for diagnostic evaluation
- Support Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows
