About The Position
South Lake Gastroenterology is currently looking for a full-time Histotechnologist at our Pathology Lab in Clermont, Florida. As a Histotechnologist at South Lake Gastroenterology, you will play a vital role in preparing tissue samples. Currently, we process 70-100 specimens per day at our lab. Your role will include various laboratory responsibilities including embedding, sectioning and staining tissues. Our office is located in Clermont, FL.
Requirements
- Full-time availability
- Ability to prepare and process tissue
- Ability to maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Ability to perform quality control measures
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, protocols and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process tissue (TC)
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning properly
- Perform quality control measures to ensure high standards in processing and staining procedures
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, protocols and regulatory requirements
