About The Position

SAR High School is a mission-driven, co-educational, modern Orthodox Jewish high school committed to student-centered learning in a challenging and supportive environment. For the 2026-2027 academic year, SAR High School is seeking a P/T or F/T History teacher.

Requirements

• Ability to help students analyze text.
• Ability to help students formulate historical arguments.
• Ability to help students write thesis-driven essays.

Nice To Haves

• Background suitable for teaching 11th grade American history.

Responsibilities

• Teach two to four sections of History for 9th and 10th grades.
• Teach integrated World Jewish History with a focus on historiography.
• Help students analyze text, formulate historical arguments, and write thesis-driven essays.
• Potentially teach 11th grade American history based on candidate's background.
• Contribute new ideas to the collaborative History department.
• Help enrich student life at SAR through co-curricular, Social Studies related activities.
