About The Position

Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) is seeking qualified and competent experts to join our part-time adjunct faculty pool for the History/Anthropology department. This is an open pool position for the 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 academic years. Adjunct faculty are responsible for providing students with a high-quality learning environment, utilizing their expertise in classrooms, laboratories, and online platforms. Applications will be held in pools by discipline and consulted when positions become available. Applicants will only be notified if selected for an interview, which could occur at any time after application. Candidates are encouraged to indicate their availability via the Adjunct Faculty Questionnaire.

Requirements

• Masters degree with a major in course content area
• Evidence of competence in the area of instruction
• Maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years teaching experience in a community college

Responsibilities

• Instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes
• Instructional preparation
• Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion
• Availability to students by appointment when mutually convenient
• Attendance at not more than one faculty meeting per session
• Other duties as required
