About The Position
Responsible for skillfully preserving, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue sections onto microscopic slides for analysis by the Pathologist. Performs more complex techniques such as enzyme chemistry and immuno histo chemistry. May provide supervision and technical direction to Histology Technician. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree from an approved college or university or training in an NCCLS-approved Histology Technician or Technologist program.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year as Histotechnologist
- Histologic Technician (HT) American Society Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
