Histology Technologist
About The Position
Receives and accurately processes surgical, diagnostic tissue, and body fluid specimens from various hospital departments and physician offices. Surgical specimen processing includes, but is not limited to accessioning, processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, IHC, cytology processing, and assisting with FNA collection. The Histotechnologists ensure the quality and integrity of specimens throughout the entire processing. Requirements
- Histology Technologist certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with surgical specimen processing, including accessioning, processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, IHC, and cytology processing.
- Ability to assist with FNA collection.
- Strong understanding of quality and integrity of specimens.
