Histology Tech - Variable Shift
About The Position
This position is for a Histology Technician with a variable shift. The role requires less than one year of experience and a BLS certification. Registry as a Histology Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is also required. Experience with LIS and HIS computer systems, tissue processor, embedding center, automatic stainer, automated coverslipper, analytic balance, automated microtome, microwave, microscope, telephone, tissue floatation bath, volumetric glassware, cryostat and recycler is necessary. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs is also a requirement.
