About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Histology Supervisor in West Hills, CA. This role involves performing and supervising routine and specialized histology techniques and procedures. Key responsibilities include optimizing IHC protocols, managing reagent and supply inventory, documenting and reporting on IHC studies, and training colleagues in IHC procedures. The supervisor will provide direct bench supervision for daily technical and clerical workloads, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, quality control, and quality assurance. They will also maintain the department and manuals for ongoing inspections, manage a team of Senior and bench-level technologists and lab aides, and ensure the Histology and IHC groups produce quality work in a timely manner while complying with all state, federal, and regulatory policies. Administrative duties include scheduling, evaluations, policy writing, validations, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and supervises the performance of routine and specialized histology techniques and procedures.

  • Performs all Administrative duties related to the department to include but not limited to: scheduling, evaluations, writing policies, validations, disciplinary actions, etc.
