About The Position

The Laboratory Assistant (Mid-Shift) will play an integral role in our lab operations team and be responsible for lab organization, shipping and receiving client projects, maintaining inventory and supplies, slide and cassette printing, slide cleaning, and scanning while following strict quality control and quality assurance standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner and follow instructions
Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
Must be available to work 10:30am to 7:00pm

Nice To Haves

Experience as a lab aid is a plus
Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) a plus
Availability to work weekends to reach revenue goals a plus

Responsibilities

Organizing and maintaining the laboratory to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
Shipping and receiving client projects and samples, including preparing and labeling materials for transport
Maintaining inventory and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed
Performing slide and cassette printing, slide cleaning, and scanning according to established protocols
Following strict quality control and quality assurance standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
