About The Position

This full-time Histologist position at St Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA, is responsible for processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and processing of frozen sections from the Operating Room. Requirements

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: HT/ HTL (ASCP)
• Education: Associate Degree in Applied Sciences

Responsibilities

• Processing, embedding, microtomy, staining and processing of Frozen sections from the OR
• Accurately Performs all histology procedures to meet the needs and expectations of the pathologists’ in providing quality patient care.
• Assisting the Pathology Lab Supervisor
• Other Duties assigned in the Lab.
