About The Position

This is a hiring event for Lakewood Ranch Medical Center on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Interviews will be conducted for multiple departments including Medical Cardiac, Orthopedics, Women’s Center, Radiology, Cath Lab, ER, ICU, PCU, and Float Pool. Food and drinks will be provided. Experienced RN's, New Grad RN's and Student Nurses interviews will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. CNA and Tech interviews will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates are encouraged to apply in advance and submit an updated resume for expedited hiring. Registered attendees will receive priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Business casual or professional attire is recommended. Each interview will last 10 to 15 minutes.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Completed the first semester/quarter at an accredited Nursing school (ASN or BSN program).
  • Concurrent enrollment in a RN Nursing program or a graduate waiting initial NCLEX.
  • Proven work history of excellent customer service skills required.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
  • CNA Certification required.
  • Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • 1-year surgical technologist preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification required.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • 1-year surgical technologist preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of surgical technologist course from an accredited program.
  • Prior obstetrical surgical technologist preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification required.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of surgical technologist course from an accredited program.
  • Prior obstetrical surgical technologist preferred.

  • Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved school with at least 2 years of experience required.

  • For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
  • Telemetry experience preferred.
  • Telemetry certification preferred.
  • Advanced Imaging Experience (CT, MRI, CI, VIR) Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Delegates appropriate tasks to appropriate members of the patient care team.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
  • Utilizing the concepts and foundation of Patient Centered Care, assists the unit with providing safe, competent basic nursing care for patients in accordance with approved, demonstrated competencies and facility policies/procedures/unit standards under the direction of an RN.
  • Provides support to the healthcare team.
  • Always demonstrates Service Excellence standards.
  • Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN.
  • Duties include patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to clerical, stocking, courier, and transport.
