The Hiring and Training Coordinator is responsible for managing the hiring pipeline and coordinating the onboarding and early training experience for new team members. This role helps ensure Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting stays appropriately staffed, brings in the right people, and provides a clear, organized, and supportive experience from application through the first 90 days of employment. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely loves animals, cares deeply about their well being, and understands what excellent pet care looks like in real life. This role includes hands on, in the field training to ensure new team members are meeting our standards and are fully prepared to provide safe, thoughtful, and top notch care to the pets and families we serve. You will also be providing pet care services to support the rest of our team. The ideal person for this role also truly enjoys working with people and helping them grow into the best version of themselves. They should be passionate about tracking data and progress, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members with patience, clarity, and encouragement while also being able to uphold expectations and accountability. In addition to hiring and training, this person will play an important role in creating, improving, and maintaining sustainable systems and processes that support long term success. This role is not just about filling positions. It is about building a stronger team, strengthening the training experience, and helping create a structure that is consistent, effective, and sustainable as the company continues to grow.
