About The Position

Conifer Park is looking for a health Information Management (HIM) Technician to play a vital part in supporting patient care by managing charts, documentation, and data with accuracy and confidentiality. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping files organized, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping staff and patients by making sure critical information is always where it needs to be. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to manage patient records and supports clinical operations. In this role, you will ensure confidentiality in compliance with federal and state regulations, oversee the creation and maintenance of patient charts, and coordinate documentation throughout the admission and discharge process. You’ll handle correspondence, phone calls, and insurance appeals, while also preparing aftercare forms and discharge packets to support continuity of care. The position involves auditing files, tracking deficiencies, and maintaining accurate data entry in line with NYS OASAS requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, values accuracy, and wants to play a key role in supporting both patients and staff through efficient record management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years related office experience
  • Experience working with patient records in a hospital, rehabilitation or office setting
  • Medical terminology
  • PC skills and data entry
