This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity supporting legal release of information. The specialist will work Monday - Friday, 1st shift (8am to 4:30pm) CST, 40 hours a week. Four days will be remote, with one day per week required on-site in Milwaukee, WI, Fond du Lac, WI, or Sheboygan, WI. The role ensures patient privacy by staying current with Federal and State Regulations and organization policies regarding privacy, confidentiality, and release of medical information. It involves working with Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management on complex subpoenas, court orders, and patient access requests, reviewing and validating these documents. The specialist also processes routine and complex requests for forms, release of health information, itemized bills, and Health Information Exchange requests, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. They are responsible for signing the Certification of Medical Record Authenticity and releasing forms and medical information in the requested format, including creating electronic files and understanding cybersecurity risks. Additionally, the role involves generating, distributing, collecting, and depositing fees, transcribing and interpreting physician and clinical documentation, and performing follow-up on form completion requests. The specialist will also establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and clinicians, serve as a Subject Matter Expert, and perform clerical functions such as answering phones, copying, faxing, and distributing mail.
