About The Position

The HIM Operations Manager will supervise and manage services provided by the Health Information Management Department (HIM) at WRMC/ABM acute care facilities in conjunction with the Market Director HIM. This role provides oversight to staff reports and responsibilities assigned as determined by the Market Director. The HIM Operations Manager must follow each facility's hospital policy and procedures, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Regulatory requirements, while demonstrating service excellence in the performance of duties. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center is a new, state-of-the-art neighborhood hospital opening in Spring 2026, which will join UHS's growing regional network of healthcare operations. Upon completion, the hospital campus will include 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, a helistop, and 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space, offering comprehensive medical services.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
5–8 years of management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Strong working knowledge of core Health Information Management (HIM) functions, including: Release of Information (ROI), Birth Certificate processing, Record processing and completion, Cancer Registry operations and Physician documentation requirements for a complete medical record.
Comprehensive understanding of Privacy Program policies and related regulatory duties.
Knowledge of medical coding and billing, including ICD‑10 and CPT coding systems, Hospital billing workflows, revenue cycle processes, government and commercial payer follow‑up requirements., appeals and denial management procedures.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple constituents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Will travel to both Wellington Regional Medical Center and Alan B. Miller Medical Center.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification is preferred: CCS.
