About The Position

The Atlantic Region Central Billing Office (“ARCBO”) or (“CBO”) provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance, and customer service to our affiliated Universal Health Services hospitals. The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented HIM Supervisor. The HIM Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the medical records imaging system as well as the imaging area employees. This position is responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the medical records imaging system to facilitate patient care, billing, administrative functions, medico-legal activities and research.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong 10 key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3-5 years healthcare experience preferred
3-5 years medical records experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervises the imaging preparation, scanning, indexing and document maintenance operations
Trains new staff on imaging duties.
Performs daily quality control measures to maintain the imaging system
Tracks missing charts and other issues inhibiting imaging goals.
Receives and reviews daily error logs and determines corrective action plan.
Generates daily productivity reports for the imaging staff, analyzes results and provides suggestions to the Operations Manager
Reassigns work as needed to ensure department goals are met.
Determines resolution to difficult imaging issues.
Assists the Operations Manager with best practices, policies and procedures for the imaging system.
Provides assistance to end users such as troubleshooting problems impacting data quality.
Other duties as assigned.
