However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. We are looking for an experienced HIL Applications engineer to join our team to help develop, integrate and deploy real-time Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation solutions. Requirements

  • 3+ years experience working on HIL projects for OEMs and/or AV companies (ideally using dSPACE, Concurrent, NI hardware, and/or CANoe)
  • Experience using ConfigurationDesk/ControlDesk/AutomationDesk tools from dSpace, SIMulation Workbench from Concurrent, Veristand/LabVIEW from NI, and/or CANoe from Vector.
  • 3+ years of experience using ASM/CarSim/IPG/Matlab/Simulink/Labview/Python tools for modeling plants for automotive HIL systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with related industry tools and standards, such as AUTOSAR, restbus simulation, and automotive interfaces including CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and BroadR-Reach.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of ADAS and AV development
  • Expertise in verification and validation methodologies, ideally as applied to simulation development.
  • Working knowledge of common robotics middlewares such as ROS, DDS.
  • Hands-on experience working with FPGAs in a HIL context.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Scripting within Windows and/or Linux.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, test, deploy and maintain HIL solutions that involve third-party HIL hardware providers.
  • Work with HIL and XIL teams from our customers to understand their HIL use cases and requirements.
  • Design, build, and integrate Applied’s simulators with HIL hardware and software to solve for our customers’ HIL use-cases.
  • Drive execution for HIL software projects to ensure on-schedule delivery of complex Automated driving HIL use-cases.
  • Ensure customer success for HIL integrations at our customer’s locations.
