About The Position

As a Highway Technician 1, you will be a member of a team dedicated to serving the public and contributing to making Ohio's roads safer. This permanent position involves performing a variety of highway maintenance activities and participating in snow and ice operations to ensure safe travel during winter conditions. Your duties may include tasks such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing. The role is based in Cuyahoga County - East Side (Warrensville & Euclid).

Requirements

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions.
Ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary.
3 months training or 3 months experience in operation of basic equipment.
Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
